cip’s programs Inspire, Empower, and Impact
-
Legal and Civic Engagement
Protecting and empowering immigrant families, CIP provides free, high-quality immigration legal services and equips communities with knowledge through workshops, outreach, and peer education. CIP helps families prepare for emergencies with plans and protections and advocates for policies that make Lake County safer, fairer, and more welcoming. CIP also offers information sessions and legal support to non-profits, government entities, schools, and other community partners committed to supporting immigrant families.
-
Health and Wellness
Empowering immigrant families to thrive. CIP seeks to offer culturally rooted wellness activities and create safe spaces for connection and healing. CIP is also actively working on the development of a Community Health Worker curriculum and credentialing program to improve access to healthcare for immigrants and build our local workforce. Together, we break down barriers to care, reduce stress and isolation, and build a healthier, more inclusive community for all.
-
Community Engagement and Outreach
Building awareness, strengthens trust, and mobilizes support for immigrant communities. CIP’s outreach is community-based and culturally and linguistically specific, making sure every message is accessible, relevant, and trusted. By amplifying CIP’s mission and programs, the team connects neighbors, sparks collaboration, and inspires action for a more inclusive future. CIP is committed to providing timely and trustworthy information to the community through a variety of platforms and formats.
